The Structural Guide is run by a civil engineering faculty member. It started as a
way to share clean, code-compliant solutions to the same problems students ask about
every semester like concrete mix design, structural analysis, IS code calculations and
has grown into a resource used by civil engineering students and early-career
professionals across India.
Everything on this site is built around two goals:
Make Indian Standard (IS) code-based calculations easy to follow. Mix design,
beam analysis, structural systems, explained step by step, the way they’re worked
out on a drawing board, not just summarized.
Support BEU students directly, with syllabus updates, previous year question
papers, and semester-specific study material that’s often hard to find in one place.
New articles, calculators, and downloadable resources are added regularly, with a focus
on accuracy over speed — most content is reviewed against the relevant IS code before
publishing.
